What is TPM? Who is it for?

Textile Production Management Program (TPM) is a 16-day certificate program organized by TTIS weekly from June to November. This is a response to the industrial need for most managers in the Thai textile industry with no formal textile training. The target audience consists of managers responsible in various areas ranging from general management, production, planning, sales/ marketing, quality control in the textile industry and their suppliers. The course covers a wide range of topics from the industry overview, production of fiber, yarn spinning/ texturizing, woven and knit fabrics production, garment making, technical textile, transport/ logistics, product development, fashion trend, etc.

Since 1993 when it was first offered, over 800 plus managers from over 600 companies have completed the course. The course lays a good foundation for any managers working textile/ apparel business for good understanding of the technology and materials used in the industry.

If I want to hold a party for my new restaurant, can you organize that for me?

As we are a B2B company, our target customers are manufacturers/ traders within the industry and not private clients. We can organize an opening/ an event/ exhibition etc. for any private client.

Do any of your magazines have a supporter?

We have most related trade associations as our alliance.  We send their members complimentary copies of our magazines.  We also help them promote their activities among their members as well as promote activities of their members among our readers.
For Logistics Digest in particular, we work closely with the Thai National Shippers Council (TNSC) in providing the best possible trade contents to their members, which include all the large exporters in Thailand.

Are all of your magazines online?

We have all three magazines in the e-magazine format that the whole issue can be viewed online.   You can view the magazine page by page just like you would on the printed version. They are however not online magazine.

Do you deliver the magazine abroad?

Yes.  On the application form, you need to fill in the mailing address.  To an address outside Thailand, the mailing charge would be higher than that in Thailand.   You can of course view the entire e-magazine online free of charge.

How do I subscribe to the magazine?

You can become our magazine subscriber simply by applying online.  The print magazine will be mailed directly to you every month.

Do you have any plan to change or improve your magazine each year?

Our Editorial Department upgrades and improves the magazine contents/ format continuously.  On a yearly basis, we make more significant visual and lay-out  changes to freshen up our look.  As for the online format and websites, which are more recent for us, we keep fine tuning the format, scope and features that changes are made on a monthly basis.  Our webmaster and our e-reporters updates our websites daily.

Who is your main client?

We have three types of customers: readers/ web visitors, sponsors and clients.

Our readers/ web visitors are Thai industrialists and their managers- whether they are in the textile or fashion industry.  As for our product in the logistics areas, our audience are manufacturers and exporters who require logistics and supply-chain service providers, our sponsors.

What will TTIS be like five years from now?

We believe our mission will remain the same- providing trade contents to our readers.  Like any media of the world, we believe the way we distribute our contents may change dramatically in the next few years.  We anticipate the shift of our focus from prints to online format- in line with the world publishing trend.  Also, due to trade globalization and the wide access of online products, our target audience will now include readers outside Thailand to include those of similar interest with the ASEAN region.  Our contents therefore will cover broader territory and more multimedia in format.  The nature of the contents will remain the same. 

 Just like the music industry, the industry no longer sell albums, cassettes, and move away from CD toward songs on i-Tune.  Love songs still sell (although not as sweet)- just in different format.
